Tint

Has anyone gotten a tint job completed on your truck? Did you do it yourself or get it completed by a professional?

If you did it on your own, how difficult was it?

I'm looking on doing this... I have a 2011 Crew Cab, no sliding back window.

Thanks Beechkid. I may have to try it myself.

If I may ask, what is the year/model of your truck. Which windows did you do? Any pics?

i recently did my own. came out good. I bought a pro-grade squeegee on ebay (blue max) and it works awesome. Still need to use the "hard card" once the window is up all the way to get it to seal perfectly.

Patience and a steady hand are key!

Had my front windows done by a shop, took them 30 min to do both windows. Nice since they were able to get the tint all the way to the top of the windows. My rear windows came tinted. I had them put 18% on the front and it matches perfect to the factory tint.

I do "most" of my own tinting,.......but I've been doing it on/off for 20yrs.

It's not that expensive to have it professionally applied. I recommend having a pro do it.

I did my own tint job. Cost about $20 and an about an hour to tint my 2000 F250 SD Supercab, and my wifes 03 Escape. Wasnt too hard, and Ive never tinted windows before. The local tint shop wanted way too much just for my truck, so I figured if I bought my own tint...Im sure I can figure it out. Tinted to 20% on both to match the factory tint. With temps reaching 100+...it was almost a necessity. My AC was working overtime to keep the cab cool, now it doesnt have to work as hard.
