I was wondering if a ford 351m/400 flywheel will fit a 429/460?(someone has a listing on craigslist for one and says it will) I am thinking of putting a manual in my truck, and need a flywheel...but I think the bolt pattern on the crank is different...If not that would be awesome if they interchange.
Also the bellhousings aren't the same thickness. A bellhousing off a 400 will bolt to a 460 but not without either using spacers or leaving the cluth/pressure plate out of it, to the best of my knowledge.

I found an 84 parts truck with a 460 and 4 speed, hopefully the bell will be there by the time i get to it.
