Right now I'm in Alexander City, about an 1 1/2 hours south of Birmingham, I've tried gas from several different places and different octaves but no it doesnt help. My cousin has a 5gal can of 101 octane and I put some of that in it and it did the same thing...... I'm starting to think it's haunted lmao!!
The only way higher octane gas is different is the fact that it detonates at a higher temperature. Maybe you could find some ethanol-free gas and try that?
pidaster could be on to something. Double check the tightness of your hose clamps.
There is a big difference in feel when an engine is running out of fuel or the ignition is interrupted.
When it runs out of fuel it is a "soft" loss of power. You get a short burst of power as it begins to leans out, just before it falls flat and sometimes backfires through the carb.
Loss of spark is a sudden shutoff or hard stutter that vibrates the whole truck as it comes and goes.

It does both, that's one thing that's so odd about it...

Nowhere around here sell ethanol free gas anymore... And we checked the lines and they were all fine, no kinks, splits or anything..
If it does the same thing from an alternate fuel source, it sounds like a carb issue...we actually have 4 shops close to us that sell straight unleaded gas, no ethanol additives...I did find an additive designed to counteract the Ethanol additives...
Carb is what I was thinking, so I rebuilt and re-tuned it... But what I can't figure out is why it'll run perfect and the all of a sudden start acting up,
This might be WAY off base.. but have you check the wires leading to your coil? My dad had a wire that was almost broke in two and his truck was acting up like you were describing. Running fine then all of a sudden drives like crap.

Had the same issue with a Chevy years ago. Would run great then start acting up. It might go 1000 miles or 30 seconds. What it ended up being was the hot wire going to the coil was broken, right where the terminal was crimped on. The factory had crimped the insulation in when they crimped the terminal on. Insulation was still in tact but the wire was broken. I fought it all one summer. I was driving about 800 miles with it every weekend. Finally found it when I had my girlfreind with me at night after dark. It quit running, so I got out, popped the hood and had her crank it. I saw a spark right at the + coil terminal. Ripped the wire loose, stripped it with my teeth, wrapped it around the terminal on the coil and went on down the road. I did of course put a new terminal back on it once I got home. Damn thing drove me NUTS................probably replaced everything you have TWICE that summer............the good old days.......LOL
