one thing after another

just finished all the body work and painting the whole truck a month and a half.. see crash thread. when my alignment guy brought my truck back to me today he said he was watching all the gauges while i was driving and the fuel pressure was bounceing from 80 to 100 ! what ive never seen above 66 . i drove home for the first time in a month and a half about 40 miles. he was right 80 -100 then by the time i got near my house it was just pegged at 100 or more and didnt move. my first thought was sending unit but i did a little testing i got on it hard and shifted thru (i have a manual 6 speed) gauge would drop to 80 when pounding in between shifts. so im thinking mabey fpr sticking?this truck took a very hard hit could it have dis logged the poppet? i was reading some other posts here about this.i got a fpx from caly to install but im thinking i need to order the poppet and whatever else isnt in the fpx. also wondering if ok to drive at that pressure i just know something gonna give. even with problems it is good to drive her agian

Strange how these things seem to run in groups. I'd guess it's time to rebuild the FPR and I don't think the FRX will help the issue any. When mine did that I tested it with and without the FRX and it made no difference in pressure. Swapping it back and forth a couple of times did fix my issue and "Unstuck" whatever part was causing my issue. I got the parts from Bob to fix the FPR which I'll be doing soon.

Brandon has been driving his at something like 95 psi for a couple of years so I'd say you're safe driving it around unless it causes extra strain on your fuel pump.

Yes mine just went away. I took it apart while swapping the FRX for the stock FPR and then again swapping back to the FRX. Still had high pressure so I ordered the rebuild kit. About 50 miles after I ordered the kit the pressure suddenly was back to normal.

It didn't happen right away after taking things apart and putting them back together, it was just something I noticed when I turned the key on. I'm thinking Bob's (Guzzle) fast response and shipping scared it into acting right.
