Engine Dies in Idle

1990 E-350 7.5l/460
Last night I drove about 38 miles no traffic and came to red light, when the engine just died in nuetral. It started right back up immediately, and since then the only other time it died was when I had to brake really fast at a red light. It always starts right back up. I just had the timing belt and belt tensioner replaced 2 weeks ago, and sometimes now I notice my timing is just a tad high, but I only noticed it last night. Up until then, everything was normal. I also notice the transmission (e4od) shifts gears a little late, I have a higher rpm before shifting to higher gear. I'm pretty sure it's all electrical, but I want some advice as where to look.
Cheers

You do not have a timing belt.
Did you mean timing chain and gears?
How do yo notice the timing is just a tad high?
Did you put a timing light on it and if so did you pull out the SPOUT shorting bar (jumper)?
You might want to look at the IAC valve, it might be sticking.
If OK test the TPS.
Did you check for any stored codes?
They might tell you what is wrong.
