Cam question (please look)

I know people ask questions about this cam but I can't find my answer for this one. I have a 79 bronco with a 400 out of a 77 LTD. I want to build a nice 400, but, that will happen later (1 to 2 years). My wife says it's time to work on her bronco. Before I stop on mine I think I would like to put a RV cam in. I think it might help my driving atitude a little. I'm just going to put the stock intake back on (I'll buy a 4bl later on). Is it worth it? It is the summit house cam that is the same as the Edelbrock cam. Is it worth the time (Spring change, A/C Box in the way)? Should I get a diffrent cam? Here are the specs:

Specifications:
* Advertised duration: 262 intake/272 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: .204 intake/.214 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .484 in. intake/.510 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 112 degrees
* RPM range: 1,500 to 4,000

Any help would be an asset

Cam question (please look)

DD2K shows that the E'brock cam is a good low end torque cam. Torque curve comes in at over 400 # at 2000 RPM (as low as DD2K will go) and stays there to over 4500 RPM before it starts to drop off.

Cam question (please look)

Looks like a good choice.

I have asked the DD2K people to move the beginning rpm down to 1500 but they could not understand why anyone would be interested in what happens at lower RPM's

Must be Cheby people, not used to dealing with engines with intestinal fortitude

Cam question (please look)

hey man:
I have the same cam from summit in my 400 and it really brought the motor to life. This is a great torque cam.
