After reading some of this, do I, and how to power off the EPAS? I mean I am planning on installing those aluminum spacers for my 2011 XLT 2x4 truck to allow me to put bigger tires on in the future.
Anyone have recommendations on the tools and steps for doing this? figure if I do the homework early, maybe I would not be stuck at my friends garage w a truck on a jack and lots of parts laying around, lol.
Thanks guys
Looks like we will need a press to disconnect the tie rods and ball joints. You can probably rent/borrow one from some of the those chain auto parts stores.

Unhook the negative battery terminal to kill power to the EPAs. Then whack the knuckle with a BFH to separate the upper balljoint from the spindle.
