biodiesel

Is anyone running their trucks on biodiesel?

As the price of regular diesel keeps climbing, seems to me that making your own may become a viable option... providing its not going to harm the engine !

I am not mechanically inclined, nor am I particularily well informed about the pros or cons of biodiesel, I'm just curious to see what you guys think about the idea.

The 2011 6.7L is "rated" for B20. Some more good information can be found here:

You would have to be very precise with the ingredients to avoid damage. If it were me, I'd stick to the commercially blended stuff for a truck like ours.

When fuel first started going up, I thought seriously about making my own, but then did a little research, looked at the intial setup cost, & risks involved and figured it wwas better to just stay with the real stuff!!!
