Rear window motor and signal switch

So I have been working on my daughter's 86 XLT. I have to replace the gear set for the rear window motor. I see how to remove the lift arms and the motor, but my question is the rear glass. I see two "Brackets" that are attached to the bottom of the glass. Each side has 2 bolts and 2 rivets. Should I grind the rivets off then replace with bolts or is there another method to remove the glass to get to the motor?

I also have ordered a replacement turn signal switch. I take it removing the steering wheel is the way to get to the switch.

Thanks all!

I think the rivets hold the bracket to the arm, the bolts should be all you have to take off for the window. And yes you have to pop the wheel off for the switch.

Well now that I know that...I will go ahead and remove those rivets and replace with nuts-n-bolts. I was lucky on my first Bronco in the family that the only thing I had to fix for the rear window was the wiring next to the tailgate.
