Trailer Brake Controller Plug

I've got a 2006 F-350 Super Duty.I bought it last November.I'm getting ready for my first road trip with my 2 axle flat trailer. My question.....where did Ford hide the 6 pin plug for the trailer brake controller under the dash ?I've looked just about every where and I can't find it.I had a 97 F-150 before I got this SD and the plug was easy to find.It was right near the OBD plug. Please steer me in the direction of this elusive plug. Thanks for any and all help.

Hi Pete,
On my '06 SD, I grabbed the cubby hole liner where the factory tow command goes, with small vise grips and pulled it out (with some force). It popped right out and the brake controller plug was right there in a dummy socket. Piece of cake. If you want ideas where to position the brake controller, let me know.

Can't Find It

Well,I popped the plastic blank cover off the dash today. No plug behind the cover.Unless I'm looking in the wrong cover plate......it is the approx. 3 inch square cover plate to the right of the steering column, right?Anybody got any more ideas where that trailer controller plug might be?? Thanks in advance.

It's about 1" x 3/4" rectangular.

You have to remove the cubby hole where the tow command and upfitter switches normally reside. It's that black alcove approx 6" wide by 2" tall?
