Oil plug question

Had oil changed by local quick franchise, big mistake-- Took it to Sears for tires and another oil change turns out they could not fully remove the oil plug as it became very stiff while backing out and advised that they didn't want to continue because of possible damage to oil pan threads. I did see that they could loosen the plug almost all the way out with oil leaking from it, but it bound up at that point. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

not a big deal, pull the plug all the way out and check the plug if the threads on the plug are jacked up then get a new one at any auto parts store, if the oil pan threads are jacked up, try a thread cleaner and if that doesnt work you can buy something called a pan saver plug that will keep you from having to replace the oil pan.

I've seen this on lots of pans just pull it and see, could just be a stiff spot for whatever reason.
