Need help w AE!!

My buddys truck won't start. I did the 50cent mod and thought that would fix it but it didn't. It will crank but not fire. I am trying to use my AE but this is my first time and I can't seem to find any of the engine sensors.

When you first hooked up AE, did you make sure it was on the Enhanced powertrain option in the drop down box?

The sensors are on the 2nd tab labeled live data.

Sounds like you unplugged the ICP sensor to see if it would start that way? Go ahead and clear the codes, switch over to the live data tab with the key still on and in your drop down boxes, select ICP psi, ICP duty %, battery voltage, engine rpm, injector pulse width, and anything else that sounds interesting. Then crank the truck and watch the numbers to see what the numbers say.

Need 500 psi min to start, duty cycle should continue to climb up in the 60% range or so depending on model year if the pressure doesn't build.

Might be a stuck IPR. Try unplugging the ICP sensor and crank again. Sometimes that will unstick it. Before you do, check the oil level in the HPOP reservoir and make sure it's within an inch or so from the top. Also make sure the engine oil is full.

No, it sometimes happens with excessive cranking. Add some oil till it gets within an inch of the top, replace the plug, and try to start again.

Could ICP be 2200 when cranking?

Yes, ICP will climb pretty quick when cranking, and as soon as it starts you should see about 800-900 psi, then it will drop to about 500 psi after a few minutes of idle.

Did it start yet?

Removed ICP cranked and replaced with different ICP and still get 0 on injector pressure. What to check now?

You can try disconnecting the IPR and reconnecting it. Otherwise I would look at removing the solenoid and possibly removing the IPR and cleaning it.

Is the reservoir staying full? Anyway you can verify low pressure oil pressure?

I finally got it started. I had to jump it off of my truck. If it was a stuck IPR is that on the back of the hpop and how do you clean it?
