Nothing wrong with the window guards. Mine had them on it when I got it and I like them. They knock the sun power down a lot driving west for me in the summertime. Very helpful. And they look just fine.
You just rant about anything you don't like.
They are useless on our trucks.
Thats all I'm saying.
The idea is to keep the rain out so you can crack the window when its raining.
I have no issues with the sun, windows are tinted.
They do make special ones for older trucks now though that let you use the bat windows.
At least some idiot didn't put those window guards over the windows.
I cannot stand it when people do that on these trucks. Its completely useless

I'm with Darin on this one, I have them on mine also. Not only do they help with rain, but the truck looks plain old better with them. Can't imagine not having ventshade visors on it...
I like the truck. Knowing what I know now, after owning mine for a year and everything I read on FTE etc, I would have gone with the cc dually and done a Dana 60 in the front, lift all around. There is a 4x4 dually in town that is just bad azz looking.
Vent visors are a must in some areas. I have them on mine and love them. Keep my windows cracked two inches in the summer and don't have to worry about it. Bat wing windows work no problem.
+3 on the shades. all of my trucks have had them, the black compliments the trucks really nice on extended cab trucks IMO, black trim works. the amount of rain that cuts back with the shades is remarkable.
Like the truck. I also had the front visor when I got my truck. Had to remove it. When they get old the fiberglass gets brittle like the fenders and are not forgiving and crack. Thats what mine did from just highway speeds.
Yeah, I am probably going to end up leaving it the way it is. In the past couple days it has really grown on me. Found out from p/o today that a couple months before he traded it in it had around $3000 of work done. New injectors, fuel pump, glow plugs, oil pump possibly and some other stuff. He is gonna find the receipts for me. Also getting a white lip for the bottom with foglights in it. I'm pleased as punch with this truck...and it continues to amaze me with mpgs..I'm getting a steady 17-19 in it as far as I can tell :O
