FOXX HUNT!
Just finished watching "Smokey And The Bandit" for about the millionth time and it got me wondering: whatever happened to the "Foxx Hunt" F150 4x4?
Has someone kept it and restored it? Are there any clones out there? And was it a '76 or a '77? Anyone know anything about it? It was my favorite 4x4 of the era and still is...

Don't know whatever happened to it but yesterday in Redwood City I spotted a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am in good condition although it was white. Reminded me of the movie sort of.
A little off topic I know but I do like old TA's and Firebirds too. BTW we still need to get together here in the Bay Area sometime with our dents.

I've wondered this myself. I'd be interested in seeing if it's still out there. I have the same truck that needs a paint job. The thought has crossed my mind more than once.
........Hmmmm.
I was just playing with my HD DVD of it. It looks like a '77 F-250 Ranger. It was stock suspension with a 3" body lift and had a Ramsey winch mounted on the front bumper. It had clearance lights on the top of the cab. The rear bumper was a chrome step bumper with polished diamond plate mounted to cover the gap in the back left by the body lift. Looks like around 33" tires on it. The rollbar was fabbed. I've never seen one like it before or since that truck. It had two round 8" Hyliters on it and two rectangle lights mounted outside of those. It had three chrome tie down "T" hooks down each side of the bed. It even had the same wheels as my truck. It would be a cool ride, but I'm missing alot of expensive trim since my truck is only an F-150 Custom.
I hope this was helpful to you.

Galpin Auto Sports
There is a show called Car Kings on Motor Trend if you get the app you can stream anytime any of their shows. Anyway they set out to make Foxx Hunt II with a 2018 or 2019 F-150 FX4. The show is a out a shop named GAS Galipin Auto Sports. The owner is the son of the owner of Galpin Ford THE ORIGINAL CREATOR of Foxx Hunt the one in the movie. So there. That might be the start of a lead on it.
