I currently don't have a badge for my '60 F100. Since we're not a purist we've been thinking about doing something different. Although, I could use a hand. Could someone trace their '60 Hood badge? I can easily measure the bolt holes, but an outline of the badge to use as a template would be handy.
If you search for "Ford truck emblems" on Ebay, there are many for sale.It may be less expensive than fabricating something. Also,if you can, check the catalogs or webstores of the big boys, maybe they're re-popped.
Uh, open your peepers Mr. Buzzard and read the description, cuz the seller sez this is COTB-16607-B (which, as I stated in post #2 [as C0TB-16607-B], is 7" wide).
Seller also gives the specs. And, if anyone's lookin' for C0TB-16607-A, I found one NOS.
Bill, I consider your rebuke to be the same as a concerned Father would give an erring child, for my own good and builds character!LOL Actually,I'm probably beyond help at this point.I figured that since the OP wasn't concerned with originality(shame!) ,a used badge of even the wrong year might be a better alternative to fabricating one.Never was much good at Arts & Crafts, myself.

Steve, for heavens sakes, we talk on the phone all the time, so you should know me by now...I was kiddin' and pickin' on you, the same as I do on the phone.
And, when I go shopping and salesppl ask if they can help me, my stock answer is: "I'm beyond help!" Something you probably already surmised.
I took your meaning,Bill,no offense taken.I appreciate sarcasm in all it's many forms, and am attempting to run through every of them myself before I die, though my wife is less than enthused.I also am a practitioner of the manly art of applying salt to wounds, kicking a man when he's down, & etc.Toughens us all up! William Claude Dukenfield said it best,"Never Give a Sucker An Even Break" LOL!

More W. C. Fields-isms:
"I'd rather have two girls at 21 each, than one girl at 42." / "Women are like elephants to me, I like to look at them, but don't want to own one."
"On one of our trips thru Afghanistan, we lost our corkscrew, had to live on food and water for several days." / "GOD frey DAN iel...who removed the cork from my lunch?"
I hope the pattern works for you. Let us know what you are thinking of doing. I plan on keeping the original (looked hard for it), but I am curious and like to see what everyone else does. If the '57 is not the same size, please let me know for future reference.
