Modulator valve Question

Modulator valve Question
I swapped the trans out in my 73 F100(one that was in it fried) the other day and I was going to put a new modulator valve on it(the one on it is badly bent/smashed from something. I figure it probably isn't working properly(shifts seem to fast). But it does shift without slipping like the other trans.
This trans(c4) came out of a car though and is a 70-72(has screw in modulator). I don't know what kind of car though. So what do I need to tell my local parts store so they can order me a new one and what color stripe should it have? The one in it now doesn't have a stripe but it may just be worn off. Thanks for any help.
