Well I tried to search but came up empty I want to refurbish and repaint front/rear driveshafts, including replacing the seals on the slip yokes. Rear driveshaft is one piece.
I tried to pull the slip yokes out but it seems that they only go so far and then stop, I can't pull them all the way off the main driveshaft. Don't want to ruin them trying, is there a trick to this?
Did you remove the end cap from the slip yoke? it will either be a threaded type you just remove like a nut, or a pressed on type held by a groove in the yoke end, in which case you just pry it off.
lol, nope I saw that end cap but didn't know it needed to come off first. I'll give that a shot, looks threaded but I'll be careful either way.
thanks!
