Need steering column help! :(
Hey guys, so I had my steering column rebuilt 6 months ago due to the bottom bearing sheering off and falling apart. This was due to welding in new cab mounts (basically raising the cab 2"). All the adjustments where made and I drove it for about a months before parking it for the winter. I went to clean up under the hook to prep for a engine rebuild and notices the bearing had sheered again... not very happy. Why does this keep happening? the steering shaft isn't bent, it just wants to rub against the top of the steering column tub, just before the coupler. I really need to solve this problem, I hope its as easy as an adjustment and a new bearing...

i restored a 1970 and bought 3 rebuilt steering boxes before i got a good one. it seems that steering box rebuilding industry can be a little lax on quality control(read offshore and cheap parts)i believe i have seen people giving glowing reports on redhead boxes.done here in the good old us of a.good luck
