Update on cracked block......

on the cracked block situation, I have an update
I will post what I did and the current status of the epoxy just incase someone else has a similar problem and hopefully this helps them......
1. Removed headers, plugs, wires.
2. Used a mirror to survey damage, not good…
3. Used a dremel with stone attachments to clean off the paint. Didn't damage or cut the metal much. Removed the paint from the cracks and about 2 inched all the way around, no paint all
4. Cleaned the area with soap, water and brilo pads, dried it up with a shop light, proceeded to clean with a drill and a wire bush attachment, then followed up with a flap disc, I used a drill cause that was all that fit.
5. Reviewed damage with mirror again, pretty bad (wish I had a picture), with the dremel,
Using a cutting disc, I scribed a grove into the cracks, it was a total of about 5 small cracks (with a center point then bulging outwards) and then the big 3 inch gapped crack parallel to the head 1 inch away from the top of the block where the head meet the block, cleaned it again with flap disc, then with silicone/wax remover
5. Mixed the epoxy, 4:1 let it sit for about 3 days.
6. Replaced headers, plugs wired, filled with water ran for about 30 minutes. At the same time used about a pint of sodium silicate, there was a minor leak coming from somewhere I couldn’t see on the other side, no cracks, I think it was the water plug. Nothing-major just drops.
Been running the truck for about 2 weeks and no leaks. This past weekend being the most because I moved and was hauling stuff around.
