Just to inform you guys, I still have my truck @ 240k and its been great. thks to the few mods I made from this site I'm on the road all the time with confidence. I pull equipment and goosenecks from 3k - 37k. Man its fun. I recently add ride rite airbags. Boy what a difference!
Hey man glad to hear! I have a 6.0 and tow between 6-10k daily. I would love to know what these mods are! "high idle mod, ccv rr, 160k
coolant filter, 24" w/B, Delvac 15/40, delete, kitty gone"
What have you been doing.....cruising unloaded up and down a flat highway?
How many k have you put on it?
kilometres or miles?
I'm from BC & our American cousins list miles as 100,000k but mean 'miles'.
My truck just hit 108,000km; head gaskets bit it at 100,000km but I bought the truck without knowing how it was treated & suspect it was driven hard.
Really the EGR? Just replace it and save yourself the time and trouble. With what it cost to fix real issues with these trucks $200 is a bargain. Of course this is coming from a new owner who hasnt had any real issues yet. I do keep 2k in the bank just in case though. Figure anything above that I can beg borrow or steal.
sorry Kilometers. Mostly highway 120km each way to work 5 days a week. Carries tools and when needed tows 11,000 lbs around Toronto. I put on about 80,000km per year.
