Hey guys so im new here for one, maybe this question was answered im not sure if it was sorry,
My question is, which Wheel Hub do i need to get for the back? i looked it up on ebay and im finding 04's and 02's i was wondering if those would work? and i saw a few pictures of the front hub and the back hubs are htey the same? because it is turning out to be extremly hard to find a rear hub for sale lol
Is your old rear hub damaged? They're pretty stout as is. By hub on a front axle, we usually mean the Hub assembly that comes with disposable bearings. On the rear, wouldn't you just buy the race and bearings? Or do you mean the brake rotors? Send me or post a photo if possible to help diagnose the issue.
sorry lol i dont know what i was thinking when i said that, its the FRONT that im looking for! lol
The front hub needs to be replaced and i was wondering what years would fit this truck? because everytime i search it im givin a new number eg. one search said 1999-2005 will fit but another said only 1999-2002's and 2003-2005 are different? is that right
If anyone can give acctually spec numbers that would be great!
Go to Rockauto.com and search on your 2003 Excursion, they'll have what you need. There's some great step by step instructions if you search on front wheel bearings.

PartsGuyEd.com is another good source that has the whole kit.
The main difference is if you need a coarse thread or fine thread on the studs that hold the hub to the knuckle. You may have a tough time confirming which one you need since your year is the year it changed. You may be best off asking your dealer parts guy. Make sure he uses the VIN to verify applicaiton to your specific truck.
It is the lug nut studs that were changed to fine thread, I just don't know what time in 03. Like suggested you could call your dealer with your vin and have them tell you what you got. When you get them and are ready to replace order the 4 that hold the hub unit to the truck. (most won't come with those). You can look up the part# for those from guzzled web page, as well as see a step by step to replace them yourself.
