I have a 2000 f350 4x4 with 10" lift and am suddenly not able to turn right very easily and it feels almost like the power steering isnt working. I noticed my 5" drop pitman arm was worn out a bit and was kinda rocking side to side instead of turning normally. I went and bought a new one and installed it but still have the same problem. I turned the steering wheel prior to the install and it went full motion with no snags. so after the install I jacked the front end up and still didnt notice anything binding up or bent. When I test drove it the problem was still there? Any Ideas what to do next?
Before you purchase a new steering gearbox, get your front end inspected at a garage. You basically admitted you do not have the skills to troubleshoot this on your own. Just throwing a new Red Head box at your truck may be a waste of money.
