update with pics

Hi All,

its been awhile since i've been on here...School, baby on the way, etc...however, there's been several nice days where i've gotten out to work on the '54...i originally had bought 8 inch rear wheels from wheel vintques...the back space was 3 3/4. I should have went with 4inch backspace...cause as you will see in the first set of pics my 265/75R15's just didn't sit or look right...YES! i could compensate with fairlane fenders but I just dont have the $$...take a looksee... and you'll see
with the 265's

and from the rear...

So, I went out and got 245/75R15's for the rear and I think they will work...I however need to modify the fenders a little...I'm working on a post that shows my plans...here is how the truck sits now...

The fenders are in bad shape around the bottoms, i'm going to fab some patches...more to come

sounds possible, Im wanting to stretch mine up for more (rear tire) clearance without changing the wheel opening......like cut them horizonal and add a two inch strip. think I may have to take mine to a good body shop to get them done. keep us posted and good luck

You might be better off trading those wheels to someone running the wider fenders, it still looks real tight. The rear axle can move sideways a fair amount, unless you put in a panhard rod.
