Strange noise after shutdown.

I was listening to mine right after a short idle run to check the Tx Fluid
It kind of sounded like a solonoid relay that was buzzing along for about 10 seconds or so. As soon as the EGR Cooler Bypass Actuator closed (located on top of the the EGR cooler) the noise went away. I actually watched the valve release after the short duration.
You may want to run her up with the hood open for a few minutes, then shut it down and watch what is going on.
The sound you recorded seemed similar only louder.

My 'abnormal' noise happens immediately after the EGR Actuator cycles.
I do hear some other, what I call 'normal' noises prior to the EGR Actuator event. From listening to other 2011's, that seems like the run of the mill.
If you think you may have the same issue, I suggest you schedule an appointment with your service department and have it checked out.

Update Friday May 13:
Fixed!
Kudos to the boys at MedVed! Got me in and tech replaced the solenoid while I waited.
Gary, the service writer I worked with, told me the new part had (apparently) a first series part number.
Gary also advised me to keep my eye on the problem to see if it returns.
The truck is back to being its old quiet self again! Color me satisfied!

Personally, I would definitely have it fixed.
The noise indicates some sort of vacuum failure within the part. When I was trying to locate the offending part, I discovered that if I bleed the vacuum by pulling one of the hoses, the noise stopped immediately. I could also kill the noise by hitting the brake pedal a couple of times (also affects the vacuum system).
