"Disconnected" meaning broken or removed? If it has been removed correctly then it shouldn't be an issue but if for example the EGR tube is broken then you will have to replace it or put a blockoff plate(piece of sheetmetal) between the valve and intake to prevent it from sucking in fresh air.. which will make the engine run lean.
