Talking Broken air check valve solution

Well, the top half of my air check valve rusted off a little over a week ago. Since then, I've bought the new valve and have been soaking the broken one with PB blaster, applying heat, and still no luck getting it off!
It was blocked off by the po, so I then decided to try and take the tube off and block the holes in the heads with the bolts I finally found at Northen tools but there's not enough room with the engine still in the truck.
So after getting pissed, I walked away and started organizing the stuff in the garage, and came across a brand new hub dust cover I bought for my utility trailer a couple of years ago. Put it on the valve, a few light taps with my mallet, and it snapped right on!!! fits very tight!

CONFUSING

This story has so many holes in it, you could drive a truck through it.

I ma glad you did not bore us with details. like what is a dust cover and all that.
