I was hoping one of the Forum's members could tell me the best place to advertise a 1947 Ford Panel Delivery Truck. This is not a restored or shiny truck, simply what I think is a relatively original 1947 survivor. I have offered to help my MIL sell this vehicle and unfortunately I am operating on rather limited info. I thought someone might have a few suggestions on the best place to list this one. Thanks
I sold mine last year through craigslist, then shipped it clear across the country. Take high resolution pictures so prospective buyers can enlarge them to get a better look
I am sorry for the late reply. I forgot I had posted a question on this forum. The 1947 ford panel is located in Kansas City. It has been in my in-laws family since the late 70's maybe early 80's. I offered to help the MIL find a place to sell it. I can send you a few of the pictures I have, but I admit I am a bit unclear on details. I think it is an original survivor that they used in their flower delivery business. They had hopes of restoration and it becoming a promotional vehicle. That didn't happen and it has set for many years. Tell me where to send the pictures and I will try to find out more details. Thanks
Good luck with the sale. I was almost overwhelmed by the response that I got from Hemmings Motor News when I advertised a '46 Buick. I posted 15 pictures (if memory serves me right) and it ran on their website and in the monthly magazine. Sold the car before the magazine hit the street. I'm still getting calls and that was three months ago. Also posted it on Craigslist for free and had fair response. The right buyer will have the vehicle shipped to them if it is the right vehicle at the right price. Good luck.
