The first time with my PS leak, I put a brass flat whaser in there without success, so I pulled out and changed the fitting and the teflon o ring and no more leaks.

Thanks buddy, I hope that Chase put a pic here when he get the brass snap ring.

If so then there is a O-Ring and a snap ring in there that would be bad. Be willing to bet its the little brass snap ring worn out.
That Saginaw pump right there would cure it pretty well I bet.

That's really odd.... Mine definitely had a brass snap ring that was half gone and I have a Ford manual that showed it... Also showed the Teflon ring and a regular o-ring.

Ya know, I think I know which snap ring your talking about. where is it?

Reason I say that.. I think I remember seeing a snap ring on my parts truck when I tore it apart. When I put it all in my '94 though, there was no snap ring. I was using parts for a '94 though, not a '92 like my parts truck.

It is about halfway on the nozzle... There is a groove around the nozzle where it sets into. It holds the quick disconnect on... I made the mistake of tryin to put it back in without it and ended up with PS fluid all over my garage

Nice...job....of diagram...

The snap ring broke/wore out on mine and the hose end popped out so I tied in into place with some rope. Mine let go and leaked in a remote Northern BC, Canada community -25 C guessing close to -15 F air temp... anyways had to drive 20 miles and put in veggie cooking oil for lube the parts store had just one in stock (pure luck cause it was old stock) so put the hose on...in the parking lot of store......snowing....Black dark and cold wind with a flashlight had to buy flare nut wrenches too.... the fitting onto the steering box was a bugger to get started in the cold....all greased up with veggie cooking oil....hahahaa

Last 5 miles was arm strong steering and was afraid I would burn up the pump...probably good it was so cold....hahha

Oh ya make sure that none of the hardline steel tube touches the frame as I had one rub through and leak too...

That diagram must be different from other model to the fitting in my truck, because if you can see the pic I posted in the #11 post, looks different in the position of the o-ring and the snap ring, which is part of the tube in my case; and I cant see any brass part anywhere.

JCart, the camper is about 15K and the trailer, I'm guessing, is 2K. I don't pull the trailer anymore because you can't back up. I've had some 'colorful language' getting trapped and having to take the trailer off to get out of a stituation, then putting it back on, OH my back! I used the TSM MFG. CO., INC. and think they do a good job. One of these days I might put on hydoboost brakes.

Hey Thanks!!

I "believe" there was 2 different style of pumps... Does yours have the hydro boost? I know that the PS pumps with hydro boost had a different setup. But haven't had one apart so couldn't tell ya how its laid out.

I remember there was two options on replacement pumps / hoses. It had to do with the nut being metric or standard. Don't know if the internals of the hose connector are different or not.
