tranny question

hey guys i just got this truck. 95 f350 ps auto e4od 274,000 miles
the speedometer went out and no odometer and the od light started
flashing and tranny went into limp mode. i replaced the instrument
cluster first and it worked. i reset all codes with computer and od
light stopped flashing . tranny seems to be ok, shifting good.
will the tranny go into limp mode if speedometer quits.

I think the VSS going out will affect it.

An E4OD will not function properly without a vehicle speed sensor.

If you have a code reader, Grab the code... When the OD light flashes, a code is stored.

no tranny code kam code

i did not get a slippage code or any transmission codes.
i got a memory code. i reset it. i cleaned the speed sensor
and re installed it. should i replace it?

Clearing the pcm is what took the trans out of limp.
If the issue was in the psom and you changed it you should be good to go.
If it was not the psom that its just a matter of time before the trans limps again.
