Reverse camera delay

I know there was a couple threads on this, but I didnt see this question addressed. I cannot get my delay to work. In other words, wether I settings on delay on/off, when I shift the gear selector out of reverse, the camers shuts off immediately. CANNOT get it to delay.

I did install the lockpick, but I remember this problem from before.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I have the Lockpick. Once it is installed, you lose the delay. Mine worked before and does the same as yours now.

Isn't one of the selling features of the Lockpick that you can view the camera in any gear? As referenced from their website here:

"Factory or aftermarket Camera control in any gear"

You can. But what he is asking for is that small delay that keeps the camera on until you move forward to either a certain speed or distance after coming out of reverse.

The LockPick can be activated while moving forward in any gear. It is a weird sensation to see that camera view while doing 70 down the highway.

I understand that but couldn't he just activate the camera through the lockpick and have it on in forward and reverse while he needs it and then turn it off when he gets underway?

He could, but you need to go through a menu activation of it. Having it on for a few seconds after you start out is a good way to find out that you really did attach your trailer correctly or didn't leave your coffee on the trailer hitch.

You got it. Just wanted to know if I had a defunct radio. I"ll just have to get into the habit of going through lockpick when hitching the trailer.
