First drive today!

I drove my pickup for the first time since.....ever! Just a short drive, a couple of miles......put a HUGE smile on my face.
Truck drove pretty good, straight down the road. I didn't go too far, because it has a bad driveline vibration. Not sure what the problem is, need to check it all over again.

Also my temp gauge stopped working......so I have a few bugs to work out yet. I'm so busy with work that I don't really have time to play with it.

anyway, it was a GOOD DAY!!!!!

Man that has to make you feel good. I'm ages off from even thinking about driving.
I think I would have to sleep in my truck after the first ride. I don't think I would be able to get out.

It has been 4 years since I drove mine and the closer I get to being done with it the more I am iching to drive it again.

I can only imagine that feeling of driving for the first time!!

Maybe I will have a similar feeling when mine is done someday

Nothing like it, is there?! Congratulations! Can't hurt to check all the bolts to see if you forgot to tighten something that's causing the vibes.

That's terrific news Scott!! It's a blast like none other. Enjoy every smile, remembering every hour you've patiently worked on it....

My first year was one long shake-down cruise. After that it just kept getting better.
Today I was out with mine and had 3 or 4 people stop to look at it and ask questions about it. They never do that with modern rigs.

There is just nothing like it. The culmination of all those hours and effort and money and in an instant it all fades away in the pure joy of just driving it. Man what a good feeling. I hope mine goes as well as I am scheduled by the end of this month. Well that is the plan.

Once again congratulations and glad it went well.

HaHA funny Tim........not trembling but still pretty pumped! The old flathead sounded pretty sweet too, music to my ears.
As for the vibration, I hope it is something simple....but I'm worried about the transmission. I never took it apart or rebuilt it....when I put a new output seal in, it seemed like the shaft had a lot of play in it. Wait and see I guess.
