I am looking for an 8 ft bed for a 1973-79 Ford pickup. Im looking for something that doesnt need fender replacement. Im looking to spend under 1000 dollars.
Any help?? Marshfield trucks in Michigan is the only place Ive found online, but after emailing them, I found out that their prices start at $1250.
Thanks
Nick

Reason: grammer
NY,well I have one in southern Missouri for $600 obo, but shipping would be killer I am sure.
PM if you are willing to figure out or know a cheaper way.
You can see the pass side 2x3 spot that is ready to patch, dvrs side was the same PO fixed it. Twin tank flaps, race track chrome and ready to be bolted on.
I need to clear the frame for another project.....
I just sold a long bed with tailgate and factory toolbox to add in to the bedside for 300 bucks about a month ago. I even delivered it to the guy at no extra charge.
I have 2 coming from Georgia next week. My friend is doing a inspection for me and there will be an 1 extra bed. PM me if your serious. I'm in NW Indiana.
Who ever got that, got one heck of a deal. Especially if he was not your neighbor, lol.
Just how far did you haul it for him?
Missouri to NY is a little far for me and my schedule, sorry.
I saw he had an add on craigslist in Mississippi. I then had to drive 70 miles to my dads house to load everything up. Then my dad and I drove about 125 miles to gulfport and the guy met me there. We loaded it on top of his bed upside down and cut some wood to fit in the stake pockets and strapped it down.
We then went to the junkyard to look at what they had. I like to just make a day of things with my dad sometimes. He is 72 or 73 and I will be 40 this year, so it makes for nice trips. I do find that now we have reversed rolls. I constantly have to tell him not to touch stuff unless he is going to buy it and always having to stop for him to catch up. I can not go through the front of wal mart with him cause he stops to look at too many things. I like to go in and get out.
Anyway, I have gone off topic here. I just like to try to help people out. I will never get rich tinkering with this stuff.
I'll be in the market one of these days for a bed for my 75 Highboy. I thought at one time I'd heard the beds for the Highboys were different. Can anyone help me out on this?
Thanks for the info on the bed for my 75 Highboy. I'm fairly new to the FTE forum and also have a 48 F3 Stakebed. Also have a 77 F150 4x4 flatbed for sale if any are interested. Looking forward to discussin' the dents with all of you!
77&79250 - yeah shipping will be a killer. Ive priced it out for one I saw online in Alabama once, and it was a little too much to swallow, but i appreciate the pics and the help.
