Started Mods Today !

Rough day DP cut at the 90 deg. bend Cat is free to go . EBPV is at a stand still with 1 stubborn bolt with DP out of the way may be eaiser tomorow. Intake inastalled very easy like it should be . So I'm kickin back drinking PBR'S starring at my exhaust in the kitchen thought I would share a Pic.

Yeah because I did not remove the the exhaust turbo from the pedastal I am trying to just remove the EBPV from the turbo an the last bolt is unseen and is a 8mm 12 point with little room. Hopefully with the Down Pipe out of the way can get head on impact on it to shock it . Tryin to save time and money. If you have input that would be great, I am in a better mood now that I unloaded the exhaust from my wifes car . Thanks

Hmm, I guess im even stumped. I took of entire pedestal and then just got rid of EBPV butterfly with a tap on exhaust port and then ground down pedastal and put a tap in there. I dont know how you could to all of that with turbo still on the truck, unless im completely miss understanding you. (sorry if i am the meds im on for infection are messing with me eyes so might have missed something on screen)

I dont know if its better I think the proper way would be to remove from the pedastal and replace the o rings like I was told to do last week . But like the stubborn bolt that will not comply. I to like a challenge sometimes but may not be worth it this time. If it came off like the first 2 did I would be happy listen to the other guys they know what they are doing.

I know all too well about frustrations when your modding things. Lol. Things should work out after you've cooled off. Good luck on it and let us know how it turns out. I love the sound of an OBS turbo with a gutted EBPV!

Yeah thanks Travis got a rain day today maybe for the best . I'll get back on it saturday. The weekend is going to be in the 60's . Monday in the 80's might call in . Just kidding . Dale told me last night that a down pipe mod can be 1 of the harder one's . Then he got into turbo rebuild's being a pain too, so I have relaxed since .

If your talking about just gutting the butterfly then after the DP is removed you can get to the bottom hiden bolt OK.
