Making war is One Thing.......How will....

If g.bush thinks that he can form any semblence of a "Democratic Gov't " in Iraq that Even remotely resembles what we have over here he hasn't taken stock of the other Dictatorships in the region. Those people will form local\regional power structures based upon Religion and Ethnicity. Initially, the US will try to form a centralized governmental structure, but over the long run it won't last. Those people don't WANT a democratic form of gov't that would require them to enteract with ALL the other religious sects that they have been fighting with and killing for hundreds of years. Our little 90 day war is NOT going too change or rearrange all those intrinsic religious and Ethnic hatreds that have been the way of life for those people way before Alexander the Great was marching around and committing mass genocide. Just look at Pakistian , or Afghanistan, we are FOOLs if we think we can rearrange the Customs and traditions predicated on hatred and killing your "enemy's. fd

if you all know me well enough by now, you realize that I AM all about Jesus and that the way i look at things is through the eyes of an evangelist, but i hope that when all is said and done in Iraq that the Iraqi people will be open to the life saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is not about converting people to "my religion" it is about telling them that there is a better way, and that is to live for Jesus Christ, see, when the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. That is true freedom, to be free from sin, death, hell and the grave. And yes, i would love to go to Iraq myself after the war is over and help rebuild and to show the love of Jesus in practical ways by helping the IRaqi people get back to their lives and to rebuild their country.

As i sat here contemplating my Post I suddenly realized that there is a contradiction to my idea's.....that being Iran. All the various religious sects there are seemingly working together toward a somewhat representative governing structure. The Mulla's are still in power but ever so slowly things are beginning too change for the better. Would not this also be possible in Iraq given the encouragement of the US gov't. As far as introducing a new religion , well they already have what most of them want that being Mohammad and all the various sects of Islam. fd
