Also, anyone buffed out these rust streaks on the clear coat? It doesn't look like its penetrated the clear. I'm trying to get the surface rust taken care of this spring
I made the mistake of replacing just the bolts, the rust streaks returned because the nuts inside the door are not stainless. You can get them at a marine store too but they might be $$, after all it's for boats
BTW: If you remove both bolts at the same time the nuts will fall into the door. They are attached to each other but not to the door itself.
