it took me awile to get back but have ben terribly busy.bought my wife a wrecked onfiniti g35 and it has ben my top priority.You know if you keep your wife happy all is well.I charged my ac and the truck ran great ,got rid of the surge.Yesterday went to get some parts for her infinti drove about 70 miles on interstate when i got off the truck seemed as if it had no throttle response then took off and acted as if it was starved for fuel. got my parts and on the way back it continously got worse seemed to cut out randomly. i remember seeing a thread about them running bad below a 1/4 tank and it was just barely below .put fuel in and seeed to run allwright. tonight we drove it to go eat and thought i was going to get stranded at mall ,runs terrible at low speed .Accelerates great starts same as usual but has skip when crusing. it has just had the cps recall done and i also replaced ICP sensor as it was starting to leak oil.Also seems worse when hot . could it be the IPR ? checked oil level and was full,oil has 2000 miles on it Shell rotella 15/40. any suggestions ?

If it's a different topic it is usually better to start another thread. You might get more people to read it. If you let ford do the recall it could be the cps. A lot of the ones that they replace ours with are worse than the original one. You should get an original one from clay at riffraff. There are several threads about the recalled cps on here. Th black one is the best so far. You can look at yours to see what color it is.

I wouldn't think uvhc that is usully a no start. A cps would be cutting out or running poorly. I could be the in tank screens or possibly a fuel filter. I would start with fuel filter although its more than likely not. Then the cps then in tank stuff. Just in order of esiest to most difficult. If the 50 cent mod hasn't been done it would be a good thing to pull the vc's and check the harness nd do the mod.

I'm following this one, my truck has the same cut out/ skip. Is yours at times when you are just maintaining speed and not accelerating? How about on cruise control? mine only acts up after 5:00pm (it seems), and not on cruise control. Hopefully these questions can help us both narrow down our issues.
