I've been wondering what these wheels were, never seen any that looked quite like them
yes, they are light grey inside the beads (as well as the back of the wheels)
I'm guessing you worked selling wheels at some point?
do you know how old they may be?
the wheels are 16x8
the tires are mismatched
Fronts: 235/85-16 GoodYear Wrangler (canadian version of the Duratrak tires)
Rears: 285/75-16 some random house brand All Terrain SXT Radials

I think they were from around 99-00 (up to 02 maybe). They were not real popular, but they look good on the right truck, as they do on yours.
Nice choices on tire sizes, they look great.
I'll try and dig up more info on the wheels for you.

Sweet truck , and for 600 you stole it. That would run an easy 3 grand here in eastern Canada. A 250 or 350 won't have a 9 inch diff but they are pretty much bullit proof as long as they have oil. I like the seat swap too, thety were work trucks back then and comfort wasn't on the list at all. I had to put a 2000 F150 seat in my 78 S/cab and I'm looking for a 2004 and up seat for my 79. The 460 is another plus with the old girl, it should had a spread bore intake and a Autolite carb, the 78 460's had square bore Holley carbs (most of them anyway), if you can get a god carb guy to set her up you can actually get decent fuel milage from a 460, 12 mpg U.S. would be a good number. The Holley's were fuel pigs but had more low end power, the autolite has less low end steam but really worked good with all 4 barrells open, this would be the gallons pre foot range.
Nice truck, wish it was in my yard and not yours though.

I realize its not a 9" (thought I had edited the original post)
The guy I picked it up from said "it has the heavy duty ear end" as a drag racer, I assumed the 9", till I got under it and started reading.
Is let her go for $3k, (but it would cost that to drive it over)
I did post her on Craigslist a week after I got her,
Posted for $2500, got a dozen responses, couple offers at $2k, but figured I couldn't replace for that.
As far as the carb, would it be marked?
I was thinking of trying to get it tuned (it loads up under moderate acceleration, if u then go WOOT it will make a POP and then comes to life)

The carb would have an Autolite tag on it and the Holley is clearly stamped on it . By the way it's driving it already sounds like the carb has been set a bit lean, The give the best fuel milage when they are set lean but tend to lack a bit on performance when you get after it, kinda likes to be easily throttled up vs. stepped on hard. That truck looks to have the original paint still on her, if the box is that good it would get 2grand by itself up here. There is one advertised locally for 2grand form North Carolina and I just sold a pretty good one for a grand. I'd love to give you 2500 for it but if another "project" appears in the yard before some of the other stuff gets done it better have a place for me to sleep too.

as far as messing with the carb,
I havn't done anything with a carb in at least fifteen years.
I'm a little afraid
I don't know if I wanna mess with the idle (jets)
it fires right up and idles great.
driving around nice and easy it runs great, but going like 1/2 throttle (like lightly accelerating up a hill) it will load up, kind of annoying.
I don't want to have to rev it out just to get around when I load it up.
