Ok, so for the past couple of years I've been getting between 11 & 14 MPG mixed driving. This is based on hand calculations. Was thinking about putting my CCV back to stock formation to see if my MPG goes up any. Has anyone done this experiment it? If so and there was no improvement then I'll skip it, but if not then I'll try it and post results. I know it's more of a mess in the intake and some oil through the IC but if MPGs go up I'm all for it.
I just put my CCV back to stock. I got tired of the smoke and smell. I have not noticed any change in MPG's but I havent really really been checking either. Let us know what you find out.
So I've run a couple of tanks just to be sure that my results are good. I ended up getting about .25 to .5 MPG more with the CCV in the stock (OE) position. These are just my results and results for others may differ. I've even been driving faster than normal (70-80MPH) and being more aggressive with the throttle to make sure I wasn't babying it subconsciously to produce the desired results.
