Door dome light switch wires

Door dome light switch wires
While replacing my lock actuator yesterday, I examined the dome light switch and thought about doing the mod to move the switch to the door jam. Picked up 5 Toyota switches at the junk yard (1 for each door and rear hatch). The switches I picked up only has one wire where Fords have 2 wires. I see Toyota use the frame ground as the other wire.
Does anyone know if our Excursions use the ground or +12V on the switch?
