Good late morning! It's Monday for sure!

I drove the 59 to work today because it was the only day that didn't call for rain for a long while.

It was nice this morning, but this afternoon will be hot.

I waited for months so it would warm up enough so I could get back to painting the fenders and hood . It went from being too cool to too hot overnight..

The reducers I have says to be between 65° ans 75°. I could use a different reducer for higher temps but then what I have would go to waste and I've spent enough on material already . Looking like Friday and Saturday will be in the proper range..it's almost 90° here today..

Good Morning!
Just a few more days until we float down the river!

At noon I took the 59 home to have lunch. I put it away in the garage, and drove my daily with the A/C back to work. I am glad I did, because about 3 PM we had a bit of a downpour, and the window seals are needing replaced on it.
I started doing some research and found that there are a fair number of parts available for it, but they want a bunch of money for them.

Good Morning!
Well, yesterday over lunch I pulled the plug on ordering a transmission gasket and seal kit. It took me a lot of research to find out which transmission I had. I took pictures of the oil pan, and compared pictures and such to the layout of the pan. Turns out I have a transmission that was not supposed to be aligned with the engine I have. A one off of sorts. I'm anxious to get the kit installed, but I don't know how much time I have to dedicate to that project right now, with so many things on the calendar. it might be a fall project, because while I got it up in my teeth, I want to replace the expansion plugs and gaskets on the engine. Do you suppose it would be easier to pull the engine at that point?

If you have the room and the time to dedicate to it, I would recommend pulling the engine. It will give you full access to replace those items without having to try and fit in between other pieces of the car that would be in your way. With my 67, I left it apart for too long and had to go back and remember where we put stuff when it was time to put the motor back in.

Yeah, part of me is terrified of breaking manifold bolts, as they have been there for nearly 70 years. I would put myself in lots of weird positions physically to avoid breaking those off in the head.
