5.4 supercharger

Just wondering if anyone out there has put a supercharger on a 5.4? I have a 2010 f250, and am Looking at options to get some better mileage, less down shifting from being under powered. Honestly running out of options, and love the truck, just hate the lack of power and the bad mileage from the 5.4.

There are a LOT of supercharger (roots and centrifugal) and turbo systems for the 5.4l 3V. That said I have not come across any direct fit kits for the Super Duty with 5.4l 3V. The PSD SDs get all the aftermarket love. A good supercharger or turbocharger system can be put on your truck no problem, just have to find someone that knows what they are doing. Adding only 5 or 6 lbs of boost will make a very noticeable power difference and make the truck drive like there is a PSD under the hood.

Did you notice any increase in fuel mileage after installing a supercharger? I am wondering if the increased power will decrease the downshifting and up the mpg? Assuming you can keep your foot out of it.

you will never see an increase in mileage by burning more fuel. especially not with a roots blower.
a turbo could possibly be used and your mileage woudnt change much, but a supercharger of any kind wont do this. a roots blower is going to be very inefficient just running around from place to place.
sorry to burst your bubble, but its not going to happen.

you will however see a big increase in power and fun

i'd have to get back to you on the mpg, still tunning the truck but sence rev 6 tune, i can tell you the truck is alot more reponsive then my 99 v10 and using less feul around the city, like you said as long as your not beatn down the go pedal you should see returns, there is less down shiftting aswell.
