fuel punp relay problem

I have a 90 model F150 that keeps burning up the fuel pump relay. It happens almost immediatly and I can't figure out what to do. It is giving up a code 63 and 96. Any ideas?

Sounds like a possible short in the harness, or maybe end a pump has a dead short in it.

Single tank or dual?

Bad socket or someone has bypassed the fuse link and you have a short or bad fuel pump motor.
