I had a new battery put in last week, and since then have been having intermittent electrical problems.
1: after shutting off the truck and removing the key the heater blower motor doesn't turn off. i have to manually turn it off. this happens every time.
2: with the truck running it will intermittently beep at me. the beeps are usually a sequence of 8 or so beebs followed by a 30 sec or so pause. the beeping is coming from behind the fuse box in the cab.
3: after shutting down the truck, and returning to it to put something in it(30 minutes later) random things will turn on when i open the door. a few times the radio, other times the dash lights.


then the icing on the cake.

4: last night after the truck had sat for about 8 hours the horn began going of. and not a beep then stop. it was as if someone was laying on the horn until i went out and hit the lock or unlock on the key fob. that stopped it fora few second then it continued. I had to disconnect the battery.

I disconnecting the battery and leaving it that way the other day and since then is when the horn issue started. not sure what else to try. could sears have messed something up when they changed the battery? what could be the cause?

really appreciate any help, this is my daily driver, really need to fix soon!

 

interesting.......not sure what they could of messed up simply installing a battery...... I thought that a battery was a straight forward replacement...... Am I missing something here? The only thing that I could think that they'd screwed up was hooking the terminals up backwards thus messing up a few things in the electrical system. Sorry I'm not much help.
