Please help me! electrical issue i think?

I went out to start my truck today, and noticed my gauge cluster, steering wheel and key ignition is soaked with water. The water has come in through the windshield seal. Now my truck seems to have key power without the key in it. The CD player is on. and there is a vacuum pump running underneath the hood its right behind the passenger side battery. i have buzzers going off now without the key in the ignition. please help me. the truck is a 99 f250.

Now with the key out of the ignition. the four ways flash. i can hear the relay clicking in the dash. if i actually put the key in the ignition and turn and power it. the four ways dont flash, but i can still hear a relay clicking.

I also have power to my heater blower without key power. please help me.

I wouldn't be driving the truck until you figure out the problem and things dry out. If your home computer was drenched in water would you turn it on? I would hope not. Check around the fuse box and gem module above it for water.

hair dryer

Can use a hair dryer to start drying things out faster, but I would be very thorough at getting it dry, then fix the windshield asap before you fry something. Water and electronics are a bad cocktail.

The Gem is mounted to the back of the under dash fuse box if it all got real wet I could understand all your problems. Need to get it all dried out and go from there.

the "underdash fuse box" is the fuse panel located underneath the steering wheel, lower left side of dash correct?

so, ive been reading about the "gem" for the past 3 months my "buzzer" has been going off at random times while driving, and my door ajar light remains on. What would i look for in the ignition switch? water damage? thanks for all the help.

I'd be disconnecting both my batteries until things got dry again.

If water got on the "gem" would it cause my ignition to be powered without the key. Right now without the key in the truck. I can hear my blower running, etc. Sorry to repeat myself. I just haven't got a answer if that the cause or not.

YES, if GEM gets wet everything in the cab will be affected, pull the GEM out and take it apart and dry it out, I would not use a hair dryer on it. Or go buy another Gem.

To remove the GEM take the fuse box lose and remove the screws and unplug the GEM, not a big deal but you have to stop the water from getting in or you will be right back to where you are now.

If it was my truck I would have the windsheild removed and resealed. I had a new windsheild put in for $225.00, your call.
