Stacks??

Just curious if anyone has ever seen an Excursion modified with stacks of some sort? I know the legality of having to run the pipes inside the cabin but I'm sure that could be addressed.

Post any pics if you got them...

I did see a pickup the other day with a single stack outside the bed. The pipe came out and up behind the passenger door, and extended a foot above the cab roof. Odd looking.

You could do a single hood stack, instead of through the cabin.

You can try those exhaust they use on those Land Cruisers down in Australia where it comes out of the front fender and up along the frame of the windshield. They do that to prevent stalling when crossing streams in the Outback, mate.

Yup, you're correct. A snorkel would look cool.

I agree. I've often thought of getting one then I remember that if the water were up to that level on my Excursion I'm sure there would be a ton of other things that would fail before water got in the engine haha

Just curious because on an F250, the term "gay" sure isn't the first word that comes to mind.

I realize that stacks aren't everyones thing, I was just curious if it had been done. I thought about two postions... coming up through the hood, like on a pull truck or up through the cargo area on either side of the hatch, exiting the roof.

If I had money, I'd be dangerous...lol

It would be a great way to heat the cabin during your winter. I'd go with a short stack thru the hood and always maked sure it was burning down.

Smokie, Dude your entire truck is covered in bedliner, it's obvious you are at least mostly if not entirely insane.........go for the through hood shorty and maybe get some of the airliner style drop down oxygen masks for the passengers!

Go HMMWV (Humvie) style. Have it come out the side just before the rear axel and up the side, behind the rear door with a shroud over it to keep people from touching it... or let them touch it, they'll learn.

Have it come out of the a/c vents, that would be really nice.
