my turn for a/c help!!!
ok my a/c is not currently working, but i want to start working on it now before summer comes and fulfills its promise of being a hot one. I'm kind of new to working on a/c systems but always up for new challenges. Here is what I know to do. Only had the truck for a week so far
-Check for free movement of the clutch.....pass (spins smoothly)
-Check fuse.....pass
-Check electrical connection.......everything is plugged in to their proper receptacle, now the question remains, which ones do I check to insure proper voltage? and what is the proper voltage? To me it seems as though the compressor is not getting power
-Check pressures.......not tested
-Check for leaks.....there are no visible oil stains, haven't used uv yet
-Enjoy ice cold a/c......not yet
another stupid question.....which side of the system is is where....(i see 2 ports, one next to condensor and one next to accumulator, both with black caps)
My truck: 95 F150 302
