Background; over the past month the ’03 6.0 has been starting rough and stumbling until it warms up (morning temp in the 20 to 30’s). Afternoon’s, no problem, when warm, no problem. I finally hooked it up to the lap top and pulled the following: P0261, 264, 267, 270, 273, 276, 279 and 282, which are circuit low for injectors 1 thru 8. What are the odds that all injectors have an issue at the same time? Then checked the FICM output voltage: 40vdc.
Thoughts please.
Thanks, Steve

40 volts indicates a bad FICM. All 8 codes seems to be a similar indicator. So yeah, I'd say it's about time for a replacement.
You might want to do the standard battery voltage, load tests, check all the wiring for corrosion, etc before you go there, just in case the FICM isn't getting enough juice on the input side. But the most likely scenario is just a bad FICM.
That was going to be my next question; what have posters been doing; buying new from Ford, buying remanufactured off of e-bay or sending them out to be repaired?
Im pretty sure the new ones from Ford are remans.
Anybody know for sure?
If you do buy a new one save yourself some cash and call up Tousleys or partsguyed for a much better deal .
Thanks for the info. I did see that there are a few places where you can get a remanufactured one, with a warranty for ~$400 (+ core charge). Now just going to try and decided on which place to get one from.
This morning it was 65 deg (ahead of a cold front) and the truck started perfectly. Still only 40 vdc tho. Tomorrow morning it's going to be 36. Sure it will run like ***** then!

If you buy new the FICM will have to be "flashed from FORD" and i think that cost $100.
Add that to the cost of a new one and having your current FICM fixed doesn't seem so bad seeing as how that can be done for about $300.
You can even reflow the solder yourself for free if your so inclined but most repair shops wont fix one that like that if you send it out after you worked on it
(Circuit board medics will i think) $325
Swamps $350
Bullet proof diesel $300
Guy on Ebay $225
Mine is doing the exact same thing. I check my FICM and never got a reading lower than 46v on it. I use Diesel Kleen (grey bottle), just did an oil change last month(Rottella T Full Syn 5w40), and changed the fuel filters at the same time. Any ideas?
Before I got a low voltage reading from my FICM, I was leaning tward injectors. Have you read Bismic's writeup in tech folder. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ctor-info.html . Lots of good ideas from flashes to oil viscosity. The guys at swamps told me low voltage meant your FICM is bad, but might not be my only problem still might have some injector issue.

I had this problem to runs rough untill warm
mine turned out to be worn injector o-rings changed them all and it started great all winter even starts good below 32 degress not plugged in.
my oil smelled like diesel and watched it a couple weeks shure enough I was making oil slowly
ran rough even would missfire here and there
The Ford started like a dodge again this morning (low 30's). Going to order a FICM from Swamps. I'll hook it up to the scan-tool again afterwards and see if any additional codes show. Still runs great after 8 years and 152k.
I just got mine back today from "the Ebay guy" $225, The truck runs great now. I recommend him. He is the cheapest and has a three year warranty. In total cost with shipping both ways first day air, its about $300
