Hi all, it's been awhile since I've posted on this site. I went to an auction here in town yesterday intending to buy a lawn mower. I ended up buying a pickup! It's a '95 F-350 xlt SRW 2wd with a 460 5spd. Crew cab long bed. There is no rust anywhere, and the truck has aluminum wheels with nice newer hankook dynapro mud tires. Interior is blue and fairly clean with cloth bench seats. Exterior is blue as well with some clearcoat peeling. Only paid $1000 bucks for it, got in and turned the key and drove it home. All gears shift well, it doesn't smoke, but does need a tuneup and has the ford exhaust leak at the manifold. Did I get a good deal?
yes i think u did but it would be getting Converted 2 a 4X4 real quick if it was mine or it wouldn't be good for anything except getting groceries... but man is that nice

I use to have your frame of mind about everything having to be 4wd, but in the past 14 years I've been driving, having owned 5 4x4s, I can only think of a handful of times I honestly NEEDED it, but most of those occasions even if I wanted to I could have left it in 2wd. The only occasion I would use 4x4 is tooling through the mud or snow, and thats when you tear **** up. i can get in alot of places with a 2wd that most wouldn't go with a 4wd. I bought this truck with the intentions of flipping it, but if i could find 4x4 parts for it I would to make it worth more. Those solid front axles for these are hard to come by! I've got a dually axle that would fit it and i wouldn't mind building a spare welding truck, i just haven't decided for sure what i'm gonna do with it. Its got 231000 miles on it, but it still runs good and has plenty of power.
