Hi All, Just picked up a 65 F250, 352, NP trans, Long bed Flareside. Hope to figure out how to post pics soon. Very solid metal and runs quite well but will need full resto. Looks like a lot of info to be found here.

Welcome Newbie yes there is a lot of good info. Find your local chapter and join up with them also, and remember to take things with a grain of salt. There is an awful lot of good information on here, and an awful lot of really good guys! The more specific that you are with questions and info, then the more specific the answer will be. There will be the occasional mis- information, that is why you need to take things with a grain of salt. You have a great foundation it sounds like, and that 352 FE is a great engine to build around. SO have fun and again welcome to the wonderful world of Slick's
Welcome! Very similar to my truck. Mine is a 66 F250 with a 352 (for now) long bed!
And before it can be said.....if you are going to do anything at all the general advise is to get a donor truck. But if you don't want to or can't for some reason (like me) then there are some very knowledgeable people on here that can help you through various upgrades and conversions!
Was fortunate enough to find a 1966 F600 with a what I think is a 330 FT engine (need to check the stroke length) , NP trans, and a lot of other small parts. Stripped out everything that was usable. Want to keep it dead stock, with perhaps the possibility of a front disc brake upgrade.
