Cruise control question

With the 2011's, when you turn the truck off does it reset the cruise control? By reset I mean, do you have to hit "On" on the steering wheel everytime you restart the car?

I ask because i've got a '11 Ranger loaner while i wait for my new ecoboost and it resets everytime, i find this annoying.

I'm not aware of any Ford vehicles, new or old, that maintain a cruise control speed setting after the ignition is shut off.

This is based on my current and previous Fords (98, 01, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 11)

Cruise control does indeed reset its memory when the vehicle is cut off.No way to get around it that I know of.

Yes, it is a safety thing so that you don't accidentally rearm it and accelerate into something that you shouldn't.
